19 of the Russian's 21 championships have been won on hard courts
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev claimed his first title for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has had a difficult year, winning just one match at the big events and experiencing a meltdown at the American major.
The player's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serving in especial - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and eventually separating with long-term mentor Gilles Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - climaxing in a closely contested competitive triumph over challenger Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's initial championship following the Rome competition and first on a hard court from March of 2023.
The win also means Medvedev has achieved 21 championships at twenty-one distinct tournaments.
"It's the first time I am participating in a competition with my both daughters together, so to get a trophy is really nice," said world number 14 Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my younger daughter her name, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had been defeated in his previous six title deciders, comprising in the German tournament earlier this year.
His retrieving strategy and frequent reactions on the tennis court had caused observers to wonder if his ability to perform at the highest level was finished.
Yet the player has made changes in the last few weeks, attempting to advance forward and play aggressively, reinforced by an better serving game.
He recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the tricky opponent, taking four of the concluding five exchanges to gain the advantage.
Both players traded break points in the second set before Moutet, attempting for his maiden ATP Tour championship, took control to force a final set.
He saved 4 initial opportunities in a competitive deciding set before the Russian broke to that score to close out the victory.
Appropriately, the winner secured the win with a shot at the net area, with Moutet incapable to handle a shot after a lengthy match.
